Getting Started for Pilots
Your first day in the GTRV portal — find your drone, confirm flight readiness, and run your first mission.
This guide walks you through the first day of operating a GTEEX Revolution drone from the customer portal — from logging in to running your first mission and reviewing the post-flight report.
If you've used a fleet management portal before, most of this will feel familiar. The pieces that are GTRV-specific are flagged in .
What you'll need before logging in
- The invitation email from your account owner. It contains your sign-in URL and a link to set your password.
- The drone serial number(s) you'll be flying. You'll need this to confirm your assignment.
- A modern browser. The portal targets the latest two versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile.
Step 1 — Sign in and pick the right account
Open the sign-in link
Use the URL from your invitation email. You'll be redirected to the GTEEX identity provider (Keycloak) and back to the portal once authenticated.
Select your account
If your email is associated with more than one account (e.g., a service-provider pilot working for multiple farmers), the portal opens the Account Switcher. Pick the account whose drones you're going to operate today.
Land on the Dashboard
The Dashboard is the default landing page after sign-in. It surfaces the metrics most relevant to your role.
Step 2 — Find your drone
Open My Drones in the sidebar.
- The list shows every drone tied to the active account, with Ready to Fly, Fly with Caution, or Do not Fly at a glance.
- Use the search bar to find a drone by Serial Number or Product Number.
- Filters narrow the list by Operating Drones, Ready to Fly Drones, or Do Not Fly Drones.
Click a drone card to open its detail page.
Step 3 — Confirm flight readiness
On the drone detail page, the Status badge in the header is your single source of truth before takeoff:

|---|---|---|
| Ready to Fly | All systems green. Maintenance not due. No critical alerts. | Proceed with mission planning. |
| Fly with Caution | A non-critical alert is active (e.g., compass calibration recommended, weak GPS environment). | Review the alert. Decide whether to fly. |
| Do not Fly | Critical issue active (motor failure, battery imbalance, overheating, etc.) or maintenance overdue. | Do not take off. Open a support ticket. |

Step 4 — Run the mission
The actual mission is planned and executed in the field controller app that ships with the drone. The customer portal is where you set things up before you fly and review the result afterwards. Specifically, from the portal you should:
- Confirm the drone is assigned to you — see Grant Flight Authority if you're not on the list.
- Verify the prescription map (if any) is published and downloaded to the controller.
- Check the Monitoring screen for the live status of any other drones in the area.
Step 5 — Review the post-flight report
After landing, telemetry is uploaded automatically and appears on the drone's Flight Log tab within a few minutes.
- Open My Drones → [your drone] → Flight Log.
- Pick a date range — the portal limits any single range to 92 days (about three months).
- Select one or more flights with the checkboxes.
- Click Generate report. The report is rendered as a PDF you can download.
The report includes flight time, altitude (avg / max), speed (avg / max), battery consumed, applied area, applied volume, swath width, and efficiency — and it lets you switch between acres / gal / ft (imperial) and hectares / L / m (metric) before download.
