Network and Territories
Distributor, Reseller, and Sub-dealer tiers, parent-child relationships, territory boundaries, and drone transfer rules.
US drone dealerships operate inside a hierarchy: Distributor at the top, Reseller in the middle, Sub-dealer at the edge. Territory defines which customer accounts and serial numbers each entity may service. This page explains relationships without replacing your signed contract geography.

Tier labels in the UI match DealershipTier: Distributor, Reseller, Sub-dealer. The account switcher shows tier on every card so managers do not operate in the wrong legal entity.
Parent and child relationships
- Parent sees child dealerships in Network (distributor) or through support escalation paths (reseller over sub-dealer).
- Child inherits policy: checklist templates and sometimes SLA targets.
- User invites are per dealership account — the same email may switch between parent and child via Switch Account.

Territory boundaries
Territory is the allowed geography and customer list for a dealership. Enforcement appears when you:
- Link customer account — customer HQ outside contract region fails.
- Assign drone — serial registered to another dealer blocks until transfer completes.
- No-Fly Zones — dealer-drawn zones apply within territory for operational policy.
Territory is not the same as FAA airspace — it is a commercial/service contract concept in GTRV.
Sibling dealers
Sibling dealer means another Reseller (or Sub-dealer) under the same Distributor. Siblings do not automatically share stock or tickets. When a customer moves between siblings:
- Initiating dealer starts Transfer on Drone Detail.
- Parent Distributor (or policy delegate) approves.
- Receiving dealer accepts; serial appears in their Drones list.
Until Completed, the initiating sibling retains service responsibility.
