Getting Started for Service Technicians
Your first day in the GTRV dealer portal — dashboard, assigned tickets, drones, and the daily service workflow.
This guide orients service technicians in the GTEEX Revolution dealer portal (GTRV). You will spend most of your time under Support — triaging tickets, running checklists, opening Service Orders, and filing Warranty Claims — but the Dashboard and Drones areas give you the context you need before touching hardware.
What a technician does in GTRV
Your core responsibilities in the portal:
- Accept assignments on Support Tickets linked to a customer drone.
- Inspect hardware using the Receiving checklist before opening a Service Order.
- Document diagnosis and capture Customer Signature at handoff.
- Classify warranty items and add them to a Warranty Claim batch for OEM review.
See Service Orders and Drone Management for feature overviews.
Step 1 — Sign in and open the Dashboard
Sign in with your dealership account
Use the URL provided by your dealership admin. If you belong to more than one account, pick the correct dealership from the account switcher before continuing.
Land on the Dashboard
Dashboard is the default home page. It gives an Overview of your dealership activity — open tickets, in-progress service work, and other signals your manager configured.
Pin the Support section
Open Support in the sidebar. The section tabs are Tickets, Service Orders, Warranty Claims, and Checklist Templates. Bookmark Tickets for your morning queue.
Step 2 — Find drones and tickets assigned to you
Technicians usually start from Support → Tickets, not the full drone list — but both paths converge on the same Drone Detail page.
From Support Tickets
- Open Support → Tickets.
- Use Search to find a ticket by code or contact email.
- Filter the table by Technician (your name) or scan the Technician column.
- Open a row to view Ticket details, linked Drone, and Assigned technician.
From the ticket drawer you can Assign to me if the ticket is unassigned, or confirm you are already listed under Assigned technician.
From Drones
When a customer drops off hardware without a ticket yet, or you need service history first:
- Open Drones in the sidebar (Drone Management).
- Search by name, model, or serial number using the search placeholder Search drones by name, model or serial number.
- Narrow with Active / Inactive status or Blocked / Unblocked block status.
- Click a drone to open Drone Detail.
Step 3 — Your daily flow
A typical shop day follows this sequence:
Review the ticket queue
Sort Support Tickets by priority (Urgent first) and status (Open / Reopened). Read the Description and confirm the linked Drone serial matches the physical unit on the bench.
Run the receiving checklist
Before creating a Service Order, complete the Receiving checklist on the order (or apply a template first). This step is mandatory — it reduces diagnostic errors and warranty returns. See Diagnostics and Checklist.
Open or continue a service order
From the ticket, click Create service order if none exists, or open the linked order under Support → Service Orders. Move status from Open → Diagnosing → In Progress as work proceeds. See Handling Service Orders.
File warranty items when applicable
Mark failed items as Warranty, attach evidence on the checklist, and add items to a Draft batch. Submit to the OEM when the batch is ready. See Filing Warranty Claims.
Close with release checklist and signature
Run the Release checklist, set the order to Completed, and capture Customer Signature before the customer leaves with the drone.
