Getting Started for Dealer Admins

Claim your dealership account, accept your admin role, tour the dashboard, and learn how tiers and the account switcher work.

Dealer admin

This guide is for the dealership administrator — the person who owns day-to-day operations in the GTEEX Revolution dealer portal (GTRV Dealer). By the end you will have signed in, selected the right dealership account, understood your Distributor, Reseller, or Sub-dealer tier, and know where to manage drones, support, and your team.

What the dealer portal covers

The dealer portal is the US drone dealership management surface. From here your organization:

  • Tracks drones assigned to your network for service and sales support (customer accounts own the aircraft; your dealership is the service partner).
  • Runs Support workflows: Tickets, Service Orders, and Warranty Claims.
  • Manages No-Fly Zones in your territory.
  • Coordinates your Network of resellers and sub-dealers (when you are a Distributor).

Primary routes: /dashboard, /drones, /network, /no-fly-zones, /support/tickets, /support/service-orders, /support/warranty-claims, and /settings.

Before you sign in

You need:

  • An invitation or account claim from GTEEX Revolution or your parent Distributor (for Reseller / Sub-dealer accounts).
  • A corporate email tied to your dealership user record.
  • A modern browser (latest two versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge).

Step 1 — Sign in and claim your account

  1. Open your sign-in link

Use the URL from your invitation email. You authenticate through the GTEEX identity provider and return to the dealer portal when the session is established.

  2. Accept your dealership role

Your first sign-in links your user to the dealership account with the admin (dealership manager) role. If you see No account linked, your profile has no dealership associations yet — contact GTEEX support or your parent distributor to complete provisioning.

  3. Select your account

When one or more dealerships are linked, you land on Select your account with the subtitle Choose the dealership account you want to access. Each card shows the dealership name and tier (Distributor, Reseller, or Sub-dealer). Click the account you are operating today.

  4. Go to the dashboard

After selection, the portal navigates to /<locale>/<account-id>/dashboard. The account id stays in the URL so bookmarks and shared links always open the correct dealership.

Step 2 — Use the account switcher

Once inside the app, open the account control in the sidebar footer:

  • Switch Account — opens the full account list (same experience as onboarding).
  • View Profile — opens Settings for your user and dealership preferences.
  • Logout — ends the session.

When you switch accounts, the URL updates to the new account-id segment and all API calls scope to that dealership. Use Switch Account when you manage multiple legal entities under one login.

Step 3 — Tour the sidebar

After sign-in, the left navigation reflects your tier:

ItemPurpose
DashboardOverview of dealership activity.
DronesFleet registry, import, transfer, and drone detail.
NetworkResellers and sub-dealers — visible only for Distributor tier.
No-Fly ZonesZones that apply in your territory.
SupportTickets, Service Orders, Warranty Claims, Checklist Templates.
SettingsDealership profile and preferences.

Step 4 — Understand dealership tiers

Your contract tier controls what you can do in the network and on drones:

TierPosition in networkTypical capabilities
DistributorTop of hierarchyNetwork management, factory Release drone on locked units, create sub-dealers, broad transfer authority.
ResellerUnder a distributorOwn stock plus drones sold through your channel; no Network menu.
Sub-dealerUnder a reseller or distributorNarrowest scope; customer-facing service with parent oversight.

Tier labels in the UI come from DealershipTier strings: Distributor, Reseller, Sub-dealer.

Step 5 — Confirm access on the dashboard

Open DashboardOverview of your dealership activity. Use your first session to verify:

  1. The header shows the correct dealership name and tier.
  2. You can open Drones and see expected serial numbers (or an empty state if stock is not loaded yet).
  3. Support → Tickets loads without permission errors.

If drones or tickets are missing, your account may still be provisioning or your role may be read-only — see Account and users.
